The Taoist god of literature is depicted seated on a pierced rock, wearing a long belted robe and an official's headdress. The face is serene, pierced with small holes for a moustache and beard. The right arm rests on a rock, revealing the hand, while the left arm is entirely concealed in the sleeve.
