Pair of porcelain vases in the Green Family style, China, 19th century
Baluster-shaped, each body is decorated with a bird perched on a flowering tree bearing two pomegranates, which originates in a rock surrounded by peonies and various flowers, around butterflies in flight. The shoulder of one is adorned with a "broken glass" frieze and four medallions decorated with flowers, and that of the other with a frieze of swastika in lozenges and four medallions decorated with sacred objects. The flared necks feature a motif of peony flowers and butterflies.

The vases are glued to openwork wooden bases.
