Porcelain bowl with blue and white Immortals decoration, China, Xianfeng mark and period (1850-1861) In white porcelain, decorated in blue underglaze with eight Taoist Immortals, each holding their own attribute, standing on clouds from which clouds in the form of ruyi heads escape. The background is decorated in a central medallion with the Three Pure Ones - Sanxing, seated under a pine tree, representing the three supreme principles of Taoism. On the base, the blue underglaze kaishu six-character mark of Xianfeng. Height: 5.2 cm; diameter: 11.2 cm
