Two splendid paintings depicting two important figures related to the theme of hermitage. Both St. Anthony the Abbot and Mary Magdalene are immersed in a fantastic landscape, rendered with dynamic, loose drafting and full-bodied pictorial matter. The overly defined and academic figures can be attributed to Magnasco's workshop, while for the landscape an attribution to Peruzzini can be advanced
