BINDING WITH PAINTED DECORATION UNDER MICA. - Étrennes mignonnes, curieuses et utiles. Paris, Guillot, 1780. In-24, 56 x 91 mm, ivory leather, burgundy morocco mosaic frame on boards, decorated with a gilt roulette : on a background of red metallized paper, metallized floral motifs (some detached), in the center of each plate, a medallion decorated with a delicate painted scene of the union of a young couple, under mica; ornate smooth spine, on the first flyleaf, mirror framed with fine braid, on the second flyleaf blue silk gusset, gilt painted paper endpapers, ornate red morocco case (Rel. ep.). 2 folding maps: La France ecclésiastique and Les Environs de Paris. Some decorative elements missing; a later film has been added for protection.
