The artist teamed up with mystery writer Paul Kinet to illustrate this serial, which ran in Le Soir from September 25 to November 11, 1943. After the adventures of The Secret of the Unicorn and The Treasure of Rackham the Red, the detectives take a well-deserved vacation at a friend's house in the country, but the friend disappears, and the investigation begins for this awkward duo.
