Léon-Noël Delagrange was a pupil of Louis-Ernest Barrias and Charles Vital-Cornu. His entire body of work follows in his footsteps, and is largely composed of female figures in a spirit heralding Art Deco. As for our plaster, it is inspired in particular by the work of Auguste Rodin, Camille Claudel and Jules Desbois on the theme of old age.
