Léon-Noël Delagrange (1872-1910) Miserere Plaster with imitation wood patina Signed "DELAGRANGE Titled "MISERERE H. 49 cm Accidents Léon-Noël Delagrange was a pupil of Louis-Ernest Barrias and Charles Vital-Cornu. His entire body of work follows in his footsteps, and is largely composed of female figures in a spirit heralding Art Deco. As for our plaster, it is inspired in particular by the work of Auguste Rodin, Camille Claudel and Jules Desbois on the theme of old age.
