BREVET DE GRÂCE signed by King LOUIS XVIII, countersigned by PASQUIER, Garde des Sceaux, given at the Château des Tuileries, August 25, 1817 for Pierre NAUDÉ, sentenced by the MOSELLE Assize Court to 5 years' imprisonment and withering for forgery. He is detained in METZ. Vellum (44 x 57 cm) with engraved letterhead. Étienne Denis PASQUIER (1767-1862), was Keeper of the Seals under Louis XVIII, then Chancellor of France under Louis Philippe.
