La Maréchale FOCH. Julie Bienvenüe (1860-1950), great-cousin of Fulgence Bienvenüe, creator of the Paris metro, married Ferdinand Foch, artillery officer and future Marshal of France, on November 5, 1883 - Autograph pneumatic note signed in Paris, dated August 10, 1920, addressed to Madame André FALIGE - Letter of apology for not being able to attend the wedding, due to her granddaughter's bereavement. Autograph signature "J. FOCH". Enclosed a Carte de visite on the letterhead "La Maréchale Foch" dated March 11, 1927. Thanks for sending flowers.
