AN IZNIK BORDER TILE, OTTOMAN ANATOLIA, CIRCA 1580-1600 underglaze painted fritware, of rectangular form, decorated with turquoise, relief red and reserved white on cobalt ground, depicting a lotus and rosette motif with scrolling saz leaves in-between, framed, 10.5 x 24cm Provenance: Private collection, London. Acquired before 1967, listed in Christie's insurance valuation of that year.
