AN IZNIK DISH, OTTOMAN ANATOLIA, CIRCA 1590-1600 underglaze painted fritware, the well decorated with a green ground roundel containing a pair of harpies perched on a candlestick, flanked by leafy sprigs, framed by a lotus border, the lip with wave and scroll band, the underside with drilled rim foot and alternating pomegranate and serpent motifs, framed by foliated line border, 6cm high; 28cm diam.
