French work, 1900-1910 Nephrite candy box, set in 750 thousandths yellow gold delicately chased with interlacing friezes, the lid set with white enamel and interspersed with a series of three rose-cut diamonds in a pearl setting. Diamond hallmark of Atelier Emile PATOUT Fils. Diameter: 3.8cm. Height: 1.9cm. P. Gross weight : 32,6 g. The Atelier d'Emile PATOUT, active from 1900 to 1913, specialized in the production of small objets de vertu and smokers' items, with a marked taste and talent for the use of enamels. This delicate bonbonnière can be compared with Cartier's early twentieth-century creations, whose Russian influence and inspiration are noteworthy.
