Standing Buddha Shakyamuni in a princely ornament. Bronze, gilded over black lacquer. Thailand. Ratanakosin. 19th century. Standing on a small lotus cushion above a three-tiered pedestal, the right hand raised in abhayamudra, the right hand hanging down, upper body and robe decorated with ornamental elements, furthermore wing-like ornaments behind the ears and on the upper arms and richly decorated slippers on the feet. A tall, pointed ketumala is inserted into the crown. Red paint on the base. H 118 cm Provenance Private collection, Netherlands
