Semi-official men's nine-dragon robe (jifu). Qing period, Qianlong era (1735-1796) Buttoned at the sides with a central slit at the front and back. Brown silk. Nine five-clawed dragons between lingzhi clouds, bats, flaming jewels and ruyi motifs, above wave crests (lishui) with emblems floating in them, including sea snails carrying the Eight Buddhist Emblems on a cloud plume, in multi-colored satin stitch, knotted stitch and sewn-on gold laurel threads. Collar border and cuffs made of black silk with embroidered dragons and clouds. Brass buttons in relief. Light blue lining. Signs of wear and slightly soiled. Minor repairs, lining partially renewed. The red-brown color is called fuse, which is synonymous with "lucky color". It was reserved for imperial princes and high officials. L 122 cm
