Figure of a decorated horse. Northern Wei period, 6th century.
Naturalistically modeled standing horse on a rectangular plinth. Saddled and bridled, with an insertable plait from the mane on the forehead. The harness is decorated with rosettes, shells and other ornaments, with tassels at the throat and on the saddle. Black, malachite green and brick-red pigment has been preserved over the white engobe, accentuating the hair, saddle and ornaments. Rest.
