Chawan. E-Shino. Mino area, Owari province. Edo period
Cylindrical shape, irregularly grooved, on a small, bulging foot ring. Very thin, beige glaze, forming white rims and drops in some places and leaving the foot free. Landscape elements in an iron-brown pattern. Wooden box, inscribed in silver lacquer on the lid: Shino; paper label affixed to one side, inscribed: E-Shino chawan and collector's seal. Silk cloth.
