Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left. 101.5 x 150.5 cm (cartouche present in the original frame with "H.C."; slight restoration to the canvas on the left). Provenance: Private collection, Yvelines. Bibliography: Exceptional work for its size, exhibited at the 1904 Salon, Grand Palais, Paris, by the Société des Artistes français under number 715 (Catalogue illustré du Salon, Peinture et Sculpture, edited by Ludovic BASCHET).
