MACALLAN, highland single malt whisky, Folio n°6 - The Archival series (43%, original boxed set) Folio 6 introduces the character of The Chairman. He is dressed as a Scotsman dancing the "Highland fling" over a pen and brush, symbols of the distillery's advertising consultants, Holmes and Salaman. Macallan's president, Allan Shiach, would sometimes pitch ideas to the team, and the two departments often clashed. By adding the character of the president, Shiach wanted to politely remind his advertising advisors that he would always have the last word. As with previous Folio editions, the bottle is presented with a book inside an elegant book-shaped tin box.
