ALBUM DE LA FAMILLE BONAPARTE. Reproduction of the original portraits bequeathed to the town of Ajaccio by Madame Mère by Léonard de St Germain Photographe à Nice. S.l.n.e., 1866. 1 volume in-folio. Bound in publisher's cypress-green half-chagrin, mock ribbed spine decorated with triple gilt fillet fleurons, chagrined percaline boards in the same hue decorated with cold fillets framing the gilt arms of the Bonaparte family, all edges gilt. Complete with title, the Corsican Coat of Arms, and 38 albumen prints (including 32 reproductions of works and documents relating to the Bonaparte family and 6 photographs) showing places in Corsica associated with the Bonapartes (Napoleon I's birthplace, view of the Bonaparte Chapel, etc.), as well as an in-fine reproduction of the imperial eagle (41 leaves in all), all mounted on strong cardboard and mounted on tabs. A few foxing and rubbing marks, otherwise a fine, uncommon copy of this work from the collections bequeathed to Ajaccio by Madame Mère.
