Illustrated with 20 original color etchings by Armand COUSSENS, including 6 hors-texte, 6 en-têtes and 8 culs-de-lampe. Printed at 200 numbered copies. 1 of 50 on Japon impérial containing 3 suites of engravings: a first state in black, before the letter, a state in bistre, both with remarks, and the interleaved state of the engravings in color, before the letter, with remarks. Enriched copy with 2 engravings, in two states, not retained for the book illustration. Slipcase a little browned, otherwise VERY GOOD.
