dating: Second half of the 19th Century provenance: USA, Octagonal, rifled, 7-1/2", 36 cal barrel (pitting and some scaling inside, visible rifling), provided with brass conical front sight, marked "ADDRESS COLT SAM.L COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA" at the back. Cylinder with remains of the Texas-Mexico naval battle scene. Working mechanism. Frame with remains of "COLTS PATENT" marking. Brass grip bands. Wide rounded trigger guard. Remains of (probably later) finishing on all iron parts. Serial numbers (re-stamped?) matching on all parts. Walnut handle with a crack on one side. Fourth Model.
