Smooth, six-shot cylinder with rectangular notches, without marks or decorations (substituted? two slightly deformed chambers). Working mechanism. Frame marked "COLTS PATENT" and "U.S." with serial number "16xxx" matching the barrel; central pin of the cylinder without numbers. Brass lower band and rounded trigger guard with serial number matching the frame, also with the mark "L". Iron back band with matching serial number under the grip. Provided with clutches on the sides and slot under the grip to mount a removable butt (not present). Various areas of pitting. Smooth walnut grip without stamps.
