dating: 1862 provenance: USA, Rifled, octagonal, 8", 44 cal barrel (bore with some signs of use and time, visible rifling), provided with conical front sight, featuring the standard two-line mark "P" on the back. Six-shot cylinder marked "SJ". The cylinder provided with sliding pin even when the cartridge rammer is raised. Beals type frame with concealed barrel threads at the breech. Well-working mechanism. Brass trigger guard. Signs of use and time, some pitting. Serial number "32xx" on barrel and grip. Wooden grips.
