dating: 1861 - 1862 provenance: USA, Octagona, rifled, 7", 41 cal barrel, provided with brass front sight (visible rifling, some pitting inside). Five-shot cylinder with pitting. Brass frame with upper band marked "BUTTERFILED'S PATENT DEC. 11 1855 PHILADA". Complete with the capsule dispenser screwed in front of the trigger guard. Smooth walnut grips. Serial number "3xx" matching on barrel, grip, grips and trigger. Remains of bluing on the barrel.
