dating: 1858 - 1861 provenance: USA, Octagonal, rifled, approx. 5-1/4", 31 cal barrel (light pitting inside, visible rifling, a defect at the nozzle) provided with conical front sight, marked "THE UNION ARMS CO.". Five-shot cylinder with fuller. Serial number "51xx" with star on the frame, the barrel and the cartridge rammer with partial, matching serial number, different numbers (possibly assembly numbers) inside the grip. Working mechanism. Walnut grips. Some parts with remains of antique bluing.
