Marked "44 CAL" above the breech. Iron frame with extractor cover guide in one piece with the frame. Brass elevator block marked "44 CAL." on the bottom. Working mechanism. Saddle ring on left side. Wooden butt and fore-end (signs of use and time) with remains of knurling. Iron mounts. Butt plate with gate (without ramrod inside). The tangs of the frame with the model and serial number "156xxxA". Barrel and frame with small remains of probably antique browning.
