dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: USA, Round, rifled, 50 cal. barrel, with foresight and rear sight. Visible rifling over the entire length, clean bore. Frame with rolling block mechanism, mark "J". Saddle ring on the left side. Refreshed browning. Upper tang with Remington mark and 1863 and 1864 patents. Smooth, wooden butt and fore-end. Small old restoration. Iron mounts marked "J".
