A combat helmet dating: 16th Century provenance: Turchia, One-piece, hemispherical, iron skull (cracks, missing and restored parts at the back). The lower edge with remains of inscriptions in Islamic characters. Small cusped brim with remains of engraved decorations, perhaps inscriptions. Sliding nose-piece without fixing screw; the top cusp was repaired. Rivets with copper head. Retaining two nape-guard plates at the back. The interior part repainted, with remains of probably antique leather strings. Rare.
