dating: 1599 provenance: Austria, Long double-edged cusp ribbed at the centre, concave-edged axe with pointed humps on the back, oblique rear fluke with waves at the base. The axe engraved with crowned coat of arms, with the monogram 'F E' on the rear fluke and 'Z O' on the axe; the rest of the surface engraved with floral motifs on a granulated background. The back decorated en suite and with two crossed arms at the centre among pages. Ferrule consisting of two pieces. With long and flat bands on a wooden shaft decorated with a tassel. Very rare.
