In this panel the artist deals with a landscape characterised by a meticulous detail in its execution. Two figures wander along a path by the river towards a fenced house with its high slate roofs. The Viennese painter in the present work is notable for his painstaking, precious technique, rich in detail, in which each element of the composition plays a narrative role. His palette of soft tones and lyrical chromaticism is particularly noteworthy.
