Joan Antoni Valls Trullas is, fundamentally, a self-taught painter, trained in his own pictorial practice and thanks to his knowledge of the great classics. He lived for a long period in Rio de Janeiro, later moving to Madrid, where he began to exhibit in both group and individual exhibitions, both in the capital and in the city of Barcelona. Throughout his career he has worked mainly in landscape, rural and urban, although he has also been interested in other genres.
