Mirror frame, 20th century. Wrought iron. Measurements: 76.5 x 54.5 (light); 105 x 75 (total). Of rococo influence, the most outstanding feature is undoubtedly the floral decoration around the edge. The craftsman has conceived the object as the enjoyment of the image itself surrounded by roses with pink corollas and green leaves. The author of this unique piece of decorative art contextualises the seasonal decoration, taking his inspiration directly from the beauty of nature. Symmetry, abundance of material and exquisite forms predominate. The piece has been forged, painted and designed with great skill and is also a reference point for interior decoration. The leaves have a small patina of rust on them, deliberately created by the author.
