Hereke silk
NW Turkey, around 1990, signed "Uzubek Hereke" at the bottom center. Pure silk pile material. The floral field extends beneath a pyramid-shaped pediment and is decorated with a generously proportioned vase in a light blue square cartouche, flanked by densely placed, delicately drawn individual blossoms, birds and chains of tendrils in a wide variety of variations and shades. The white border is decorated with alternating flower-filled vases and stylish floral motifs. Very good condition. 72x90 cm (ft. 2.4x3).
