Isfahan Z-Persia, c. 1980, cork wool pile, silk warp. Extra-fine knotted carpet. The midnight blue ground is decorated with an elaborate 16-pass star medallion with 2 pendants, flanked by a dense floral design, arabesques, palmettes and 4 decoratively inlaid light corner spandrels. 4 rosette borders in light blue and white line the red main border, which is elegantly decorated with palmettes and tendril ribbons. Very good condition. 157x253 cm (ft. 5.2x8.3).
