Zeijwa-Kuba Eastern Caucasus, c. 1900. The dark blue field is decorated with the white and red ornamentation characteristic of Zeijwa carpets: medallions arranged one above the other in an infinite repeat, the rays of which extend to fill the sides. The red main border is decorated with alternating octagons and surrounded by 2 white wavy vine borders. Repaired areas in the field, signs of wear. 134x326 cm (ft. 4.4x10.8).
