Z-Persia, c. 1900. The beige central field contains a magnificent midnight blue central medallion with 2 elongated spurs, surrounded by finely drawn foliate scrolls, floral motifs and 4 red corner spandrels inlaid with star-shaped blossoms. The main border, also in midnight blue, is decorated with strongly geometric palmettes and leafy scrolls in alternating shades, as well as 2 filigree borders. Signs of wear. 130x195 cm (ft. 4.3x6.4).
