Isfahan Z-Persia, circa 1960, signed at the top center "Isfahan, designed by Haghighi". Very fine weave, silk warp, cork wool pile. The rare pistachio green field features an elaborate circular medallion, elegantly inlaid with decorative depictions of phoenixes, cloud bands and floral motifs, flanked by a floral design with filigree palmettes in various designs, forked tendrils and arabesque-like tendril bands. 2 turquoise blue wavy tendril secondary borders line the beige main border, in which the pattern of the central field is continued in a decorative manner. Very good condition. 320x447 cm (ft. 10.6x14.8).
