dating: circa 1700 provenance: Germania, Body with a flat back face, on the front side a semicircle divided into three segments by longitudinal staves. The flat side with beautiful carving of a hunter with his dogs blowing a horn, surmounted by a large cartouche with a hunting theme inscription; on the convex side a large deer in the woods, flanked by eagles with cartouches featuring hunting mottos; above the deer a bird, at the edges floral frames. In the background an effigy of a peacock surrounded by flowers. Round fuse made of dark horn. Minor missing parts.
