dating: about 1880 provenance: Inghilterra, Rifled, octagonal barrel, provided with rear sight featuring three foldaway leaves marked from "50" to "100", signed "HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND ST. LONDON" at the back, featuring the marks of the London test bench and "100" at the bottom, 38 cal at the nozzle. Clean bore, visible rifling, small signs of use. Frame and receiver in one piece and engraved with racemes. Working mechanism. Knurled, wooden butt and fore-end. Iron mounts with some pitting. The lever to unlock the receiver is in front of the trigger guard. Remains of antique finishing.
