dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Baden, Octagonal barrel with slight micro-rifling, featuring remains of probably antique browning, signed "J. STÖHR IN CARLSBAD" on the back, engraved with floral motifs at the base and with a frame at the nozzle, provided with sight, 11.2 mm cal at the nozzle. Breech engraved with rocaille. Tang numbered "2" and provided with fixed rear sight. Forward spring lock with plate engraved with a frame and floral motifs, also present on the hammer throw. The hammer's head engraved with grotesque face. Three-quarter wooden stock with knurled handle. The fore-end cap carved with palms and a curl. Iron mounts. Beautiful moulded and engraved counterplate depicting a dragon. Flat elliptical butt-plate (slightly loose) with an engraved trophy. Trigger guard with finger support and floral engravings. Well-working trigger and set trigger. Adjusting screw.
