dating: 1840 circa provenance: Milano, Octagonal, rifled, 12 mm cal barrels (clean bores, visible rifling), browning with damascus design, marked "1" and "2", with front sight; forward spring locks signed "COLOMBO IN MILANO" in gold and engraved with floral motifs. Engraved tang with sight. Half wooden stocks (small damaged parts and restorations) with shell-carved fore-end caps, knurled butts and leaf-carved butt plates. Engraved iron mounts, trigger guards with finger rests, triggers with set trigger. Originally designed for a cased set, without ramrods. Working mechanism.
