A rare hussar's sabre with scabbard Lot n° 673

dating: late 17th Century provenance: Ungheria, Wide, curved, single-and-false-edged blade, with wide fuller, enlarged tip, on one side the inscription "FRINGIA" between round and toothed segments, the other side engraved with sun, moon and stars; iron, cross-shaped hilt, with long langets, pointed, angled, oval, iron pommel, leather-covered wooden grip with flower carved rosette. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with iron mounts and two suspension rings on wide bands.
