BAS CONGO, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
Fetish featuring a male figure standing on a circular pedestal. He is sculpted in a dynamic posture, his gaze accentuated by painted glass inlays. The rectangular cavity on the belly would originally have contained a magic charge, present at the top of the head.
Wood, glass, chain, fabric and prophylactic material on the head.
Old honey-brown patina.
