Late Apulian skyphos by the Arpi painter. 320 - 310 BC H 12.1 cm, W with handles 20.1 cm, ø body 12.3 cm. On the front in the "Rich Style" a seated young lovers, she with a donation bowl, in front of her Eros with alabastron and branch. On the reverse an advertising scene, on the left a seated young woman with a bowl, on the right in front a young man in a cloak with a wreath in his hand. Details, especially on the front, richly executed in white and yellow. Red overlay on and under the foot. Two fragments of the rim, including a handle, broken in antiquity and repaired using five staples, of which the double holes have been preserved. For the painter, see A. D.
