Attic black-figure cylinder lekythos in the style of the Haimon painter. 490 - 470 BC H 19.2 cm, ø body 6.7 cm. The image shows a charioteer in a biga with a warrior behind him. Cf. for example the Lekythos Hannover, Kestner Museum 1966.35: Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum 1 Pl. 23, 3-4; Beazley Archive Pottery Database 3113. A few tiny chips to the mouth, a retouched area in the lower lustre, otherwise intact. Provenance: In the private collection of P. A., Munich, since 2021; previously in German family ownership since before 2000.
