Roman transport amphora for wine of the Dressel 2-4 type, Italy or Baetica, ca. 65 BC - 1st century AD. H 78.5 cm and with stand 89.5 cm. Dark brown clay. With bulging mouth rim and once profiled strap handles. With a beautiful iron stand! Foot and in the lower half parts of the wall missing on one side, remains of marine growth. Provenance: From the private collection D. W., Baden-Württemberg; previously in a German private collection since the 1970s.
