Roman transport amphora for olive oil of the Dressel 25 type. Southern Italian Adriatic coast, late 1st century BC - mid 1st century AD. H 68.5cm and with stand 76.5cm. Light brown clay. With bulging mouth rim and small bow handles. With a beautiful iron stand! The base broken and reassembled without flaws, with glued cracks in the wall, remnants of marine growth. Provenance: From the private collection D. W., Baden-Württemberg; previously in a German private collection since the 1970s.
