Slave with fruit basket. Romano-Egyptian, 1st century A.D. H 17.7 cm. Molded figure of a servant with grotesque facial features, pointed cap and short tunic. He carries a pouch in his right hand and shoulders an overflowing fruit basket on his left. There is a large recess between his legs, perhaps for the insertion of an oversized phallus.
