Hand with parazonium from a statue. Roman Imperial period, 1st - 3rd century AD. H 19.2 cm and with stand 22.2 cm. Fine white marble. The left hand, which is actually hanging down, holds a sword near the crossguard, which is in its scabbard. Chipped, broken in the sword handle and wrist, mounted on a beautiful metal stand. Provenance: Since 2021 in the private collection P. A., Munich; previously in German family ownership since before 2000.
