Youthful Heracles. Gallo-Roman, 1st - 2nd century A.D. H 10.8cm. Cast bronze. Votive figure in the form of a slender, naked youth with curly hair and a club in his raised right hand, which passes the back of his head on the left. The lion's skin falls down over the lowered right forearm. The left leg is sweepingly set back. Cf.: G. Faiser-Feytmans. Le Bronzes Romains de Belgique, (1979) p. 76 f. Cat. no. 62d.
